About
My name is Cornell T Garrett. I have been a Classical Clinical Chinese Herbal Science practitioner since the late 90's. My introduction into Classical Chinese Health Science was via my Classical Chinese Martial Arts training which started in 1989 at the age of 16. This training has entailed Wushu (5 Animal Shaolin, Shanxi Xingyijuan, Combined Taijijuan, Cheng Shi Baguazhang, Shuai jiao, Chin-na),Qigong, Taoist Neigong, Buddhist Neigong, Martial Qigong/Neigong, Iron Hand, Die Da, and the rudiments of herbal and preventative nutrition. From this same organization I learned an introduction to Classical Clinical Chinese Herbal Science in conjunction with acupuncture, Tui Na, Zheng Gu. In the mid 90's I began to learn Classical Clinical Chinese Herbal Science from Roger Wicke, PhD and Dr. C.S. Cheung at the Rocky Mountain Herbal Institute. It is from them I really gained competency in the vast field of Classical Chinese Health Science. I started clinical practice the late 90's and taught classes to the public. During my travels I won 3 national Wushu titles and numerous regional titles, become an ordained lay Bikku in the Chan tradition of Buddhism in the Shu Yun lineage taken on the Dharma name Yin Dao, studied with many teachers in Qigong and Neigong and have continued to gain more knowledge in the area of Holistic Health.
